Welcome to St. Johns Heritage Centre           

The centre comprises 5 main areas.

Visits will usually consist of a presentation and tour of the building including the Bell Tower.

 

 The Heritage Porch - a selection of displays and artefacts with audio-visual presentations. Click here for a short history of St. Johns

The traditional worship area includes the Military and Civic  memorials, and the original pulpit and lectern.

The Old Sanctuary houses the ornate apse, the original 1878 chancel and high altar, the choir stalls, the carving of Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper" and the Father Willis organ.
The Tower and Gallery- a visit up the stone spiral staircase up to the bell ringing and clock-face room.
The Stained-Glass Tour - by appointment only, comprising a full trip around the building to view the majority of the stained-glass.
